CAMP REPORT

 

DAY-1 APRIL 24, 2023

The camp for the academic year 2021-23 named ‘Sarga’ was inaugurated with an auspicious ceremony at 10:30am. The camp was conducted by the college union.

          The camp started with the blessings from the almighty. Then it was official inaugurated by Sri. A Pradeep Kumar (ACP, DCRB, Kollam city). After the inaugural section, the teachers took then attendance of all the teacher trainees. Then we go for our lunch. As it was our first day on camp, we had to bring the lunch from our home. By around 3:00’o clock we had a palukachal ceremony. It was conducted by our principal Dr Anitha. N. Then it was followed by tea break. As it was our first day, teachers had given us maximum time to adjust with the camp. Then we collect some firewood to prepare the lunch. Then we go to relax some time. On that time some people from the group A go for dinner making. By around 7:00 PM all of us assemble on the auditorium. There was a ‘Jugal Bandi’ conducted by our music Miss and her daughter. Then by 8:30PM we go for our dinner. Then by around 10:00PM we go for bed.

 

DAY-2 APRIL 25, 2023

          The second day starts by around 5:00AM by the wake-up bell. Those who have kitchen duty and cleaning duty go for it. After becoming fresh we come out from our classroom and drink bed coffee. With my friends we go for chit chat. Then by around 6:00AM we go for playground. We do physical activities under the guidance of Pramod Sir. After that we go for refreshment and had our breakfast at 8:45AM. Then by around 9:00AM we start our morning assembly. It was conducted by group A. It was a nice assembly. After that our Art Sir Santhosh give basic knowledge about pot painting. He also enquired about those who very much interested in it. After that by around 1:00PM we had our lunch. On this time it was the duty of my group for cleaning and serving. After that we got some refreshment. By around 3:30PM we all assemble on the hall for the legal awareness class conducted by Adv. G Mohan Raj (special public prosecutor). I enjoyed the class very well and got some valuable knowledge. After that we had our tea and relaxed for some time. After that there was some sports activities for some time. Then there was a heavy rain for some time. By around 7:30PM we had our dinner and assemble in the hall for watching a cinema. We had watched the film “The Grudge”. It was a horror movie. Then by around 11:00PM we go for bed. Altogether it was a nice day. At first I had some problems to get adjusted with the camp. But now I was okay.

DAY-3 APRIL 26,2023

          The 3^rd day o four camp starts by around 5:00 AM.  After becoming fresh we go downstairs and had our bed coffee.  Those who had the morning duties go for it.  After the first two days everyone of us were very enthusiastic and happy to participate in the camp activities.  After the exercise and breakfast we go for the morning assembly.  One of the student from the Malayalam optional presented the report of the previous day.  After the assembly some students who are interested in drawing for pot painting and others go for campus beautification.  I go for campus beautification In between students from group B go for preparing lunch.  The food was very tasty and it was fried rice and chicken curry.  Then my team go for cleaning.  Then at 3:30 PM we had an awareness class on first aid taken by Dr. Augustus Morris.  The section was quite formative.  He explained in detail about how to assist in first aid techniques such as how to remove an airway obstruction, create proper splint for broken bones and an overview of how to prepare CPR.  The programme was good and quite informative.  Then we had a tea break and go sometime to relax.  By around 7:00 PM we had a campfire with orchestra.  It was nice and we all enjoyed it.  In between our Vice Principal sang a song which was very much beautiful.  After we had our dinner and go to bed.

DAY-4 APRIL 23, 2023

          The 4^th day starts by around 5:00 AM. The morning alarm starts to rang and all of us wake up.  Then we got fresh up and go downstairs.  After having a bed coffee friends go with a chit-chat.  Then by around 7:00 AM we get ready for the physical activities and go on the ground.  Then by around 8:45 AM we had our breakfast and after that we get ready for the assembly.  This was one of the last assembly we had in our camp.  I enjoyed it a lot after that we were divided into 6 groups according to our optional subject.  After that we sit around a table and discuss about our skit.  It was done with some wards taken by our leaders.  My group words are farmer, lawyer, friendship, etc.  We discuss with our words and try to frame an outline for our skit.  By around 1:00 PM we go for lunch.  Today’s menu was rice, fish curry, thoran, pulishery, pickle and pappadam.  After that some students go with the skit and some for the preparation of cultural activities. By around 4:30 PM we had our tea break and had our tea and snacks. Then I go and fresh up. After that there was some cultural activities from my class and I helped my friends to prepare it.  By around 6:30 PM the cultural activities starts.  Cultural activities include fancy dress, songs, dance etc.  It was very nice .  I enjoyed a lot during the cultural; activities.  After that its my group duty to serve the food and clean the kitchen.  Dinner menu was poratta with egg curry.  After having the dinner I cleaned the vessels.  After that we continue our skit preparation.  We framed an outline.  I was a lawyer on that skit.  By around 11.00 PM, I go to the bed.

DAY 5 APRIL 28, 2023

 

This is the last day of our camp.  I wake up by around 5.00 PM.  Got freshup and came to downstairs.  Then its my group’s duty to prepare breakfast.  So I help to cut the vegetables.  Then I had my bed coffee and did the practice for the skit.  One by one group perform the skit.  Second last our group too perform the skit.  After that the result was announced.  Aiswarya C S from Malayalam optional was the best actress.  Vipin from physical science optional and Nijas Babu from Malayalam optionalwere the best actors.  After that we had our lunch.  It was a delicious chicken biriyani along with salad, achar and pappadam.  There was also payasam after the lunch.  After that we have Zumba dance.  It was nice and I enjoyed that.  After that it was National Anthem.  Then it was a heart breaking moment.  It was very hard to leave my friends after some days.  By around 5.00 PM I leave the college.
